This is fan-art for my comic, The Modern Miracle, which is about an angel who's hiding out in a city from God. She meets a girl there; and wants ever so badly to be her guardian angel.
This picture is meant to represent an angel's wings being removed. Their wings being their biggest pride, it's one of the greatest failures they will ever know.
Not to mention it hurts like hell. XD
(They wings are torn off bit by bit, meaning the pain is only increased.)
So yeah, this is Meera(the main character in my story) having her wings taken from her.
Also, an angel beings to fade in a very peculiar way. They start to melt into a strange liquid that God uses to build his kingdom.(The liquid doesn't stay black, FYI.)

Okay, this story isn't mean to symbolize God being evil or anything; in fact most angels are proud to go and be a part of his kingdom for the rest of eternity. It's just when an angel has done some major wrong, then their wings are taken and they are forced to fade in pain. The reason Meera is having her wings taken is because-
